Innovative Wheat - Rees Variety

There is a new strain of wheat that gives higher yields in dry conditions. Called "Rees" after Lloyd Rees, a famous Australian landscape artist, CSIRO scientists have delivered a product that promises to be a big export earner and crack the lucrative noodle market in Asia. Michael McKenzie is speaking with CSIRO scientist, Dr Richard Richards whose persistent science over the last 20 years now has the new wheat ready for market.
